When you speak discouragement and frustration and give voice to hopelessness, what effect do you have on family and others? More importantly, what are you exercising—faith or doubt? Whatever gets exercised gets stronger. Listening to the horror stories of others will hurt you. So keep your focus on stories of people who kept their faith, stood and won the victory — the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace, Daniel in the lion’s den, Paulrejoicing in prison. Talk about the victory that’s been promised. Tell about the times when God came through for you. As you speak it, faith will bring it to pass. But it is up to you to release faith, and only faith, through the words of your mouth.

WORDS OF LIFE:

I declare that God is good and only good. I trust in Him.
My mouth is filled with the Word of God and praise for His marvelous ways.
By faith I receive the power to control my tongue and speak the Word only.
